Bricks 4 Kidz Knoxville LEGO Workshops and Field Trips
A Bricks 4 Kidz workshop or field trip takes learning out of the pages of the textbook and into an imaginative, 3-dimensional, hands-on learning experience! Use the LEGO® bricks your students already know and love to get them excited about learning. A Bricks 4 Kidz workshop or field trip is a fun-filled, engaging experience that kids will be talking about long after the fun has ended.

Academic Workshops

How many kids? We can accommodate 1 or 2 classes at a time (40 kids max)

What? Our Catalog including 100s of possible STEAM-related workshops is available upon request

Standards? All workshops are standards-based and can include a worksheet for assessment

Teacher? All Academic workshops include an engaging lesson taught by a Knox County Schools-approved Bricks 4 Kidz teacher

LEGO models? All Academic workshops include a mechanical or motorized Bricks 4 Kidz LEGO Model based on the lesson covered

How much? 1 class = $150. 2 classes together or back-to-back = $250.

Do they get to take anything home? Additional Take-homes such as a customized LEGO mini-figure ($5 per child) or a make-and-take model($10-20 per child) are available. 2-week advance notice required for take-homes.

Is Bus Parking Available? Yes! We just need to know in advance to cone it off.

How long? 90 minutes (includes 15 minutes of creative play time at the beginning and end of the workshop)

Can the chaperones sneak out to Starbucks? School field-trip minimum classroom chaperones required to stay with class.
STEAM Party Workshop

Why? This is a great option for a classroom rewards party, a student achievement rewards party, coupon sales party, etc.

How many kids? We can accommodate 1 or 2 classes at a time for an academic workshop (40 kids max)

What? Choose from a variety of fun themes that kids love: MineCraft, Star Wars, LEGO Movie, Ninjago, Batman, Superheroes, Pirates & Princesses, Pokemon, and more!

Standards? STEAM Party workshops are not designed to ensure state standards

Teacher? All STEAM Party workshops are led by a Knox County Schools-approved Bricks 4 Kidz coordinator

LEGO models? All STEAM Party Workshops will include multiple STEAM-related LEGO-building activities.

STEAM Carnival Workshop -- at your school

Why choose this option? Our STEAM Carnival Workshops are a great way to service a larger number of classes simultaneously in a relative shorter period of time.

How many kids? We can accommodate 4-16 classes simultaneously (if it's going to be 14 or more classes we recommended splitting over 2 or more days).

What does the school need to provide? A large-enough space to accommodate the group (for a grade level, we usually work among the 4+ classrooms. For multiple grade levels, usually a gymnasium). Two 8-10 foot tables per classroom, set up in advance per diagram provided. A teacher and an assistant or volunteer for each class.

How long? 90 Minutes

What? We will bring 6-8 STEAM-related LEGO activities that each take a class 10-12 minutes to complete. Each station will include a LEGO Building activity that represents one or more aspects of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, or Math. Some activities in the past have included, but are not limited to: LEGO Car station & ramp, timed tower-building, mechanical or motorized model, invent-an-insect with LEGO pieces, build a Brick-Tack-Toe board, LEGO Spin Art, etc.

Standards? STEAM Carnival workshops are not specifically designed to ensure state standards and assessment, but can be reviewed to tie standards in.

Bricks 4 Kidz Staff? STEAM Carnival workshops will be staffed by several Knox County Schools-approved Bricks 4 Kidz staff who will coordinate set-up, tear-down, classroom rotations, and troubleshoot any issues during the event.

LEGO models? Every activity will involve various types of LEGO activities (see "what" above)

How much? $95 / class, minimum of 4-9 classes. $85/ class, 10+ classes.

Can the teachers sneak out to Starbucks? We require teachers to stay with the class to handle any classroom issues that may arise.

Do they get to take anything home? We will normally include 1-2 art projects within the activities that the children take home. Additional Take-homes such as a customized LEGO mini-figure ($5 per child) or a make-and-take model($10-20 per child) are available. 2-week advance notice required for take-homes.
